How we’ve helped Vincent

My name is Vince Conroy. I’ve been a client of Lawrence Clarke for about six months, and my adviser is Susette.

I was very happy with the adviser that I was using before Lawrence Clarke, but they had some organisational changes, which effectively meant that a lot of the advice became online and so, it became impersonal.

The first thing I was interested in when I began talking to Lawrence Clarke was pensions, the changes in legislation relating to pensions, and what I could do with my pension moving forward with both short- and long-term planning.

I met Susette through a friend of a friend. For whatever reason, the conversation turned to pensions; Susette was talking about her work, and we agreed to reschedule and talk in more detail.

Susette explained that she’d come from a legal background, and she was incredibly passionate about what she’d done. For me, trust is a major issue, and it was clear that Susette was somebody who I would feel comfortable investing in my pension with.

Working with Susette, I feel reassured, confident, and relaxed – all things that I hadn’t felt with my previous advisers, and that’s a great advantage.

In terms of my financial future, I have no doubts. The financial markets are very volatile, but I feel confident that working with Susette, between us, we’ll make the right choices. So, I’m pretty confident about what the future holds financially.

If I hadn’t changed and made a new choice for my investments and stayed where I was, I think I would be constantly worried about whether I was doing the right thing because I didn’t feel like I was being looked after as a person. I didn’t feel as if I was getting the personal attention that I feel that I’m getting now.

If I had to choose three words to describe Susette, they would be trustworthy – absolutely, hard-working, and loyal.

The best thing about working with Lawrence Clarke and Susette is not having to worry. Knowing that someone is looking after my financial future is incredibly reassuring.

I think the best bit of advice that Susette has given me is to have patience. Markets will go up, and markets will go down, but for the long term, just ride it out, and everything will be okay in the end.

I would have no qualms in recommending Susette to anybody. She is doing a great job for me, and I’m sure she’d do a great job for whoever else she was working with.
